I would like to say a very warm welcome to Read and Rise School. Read and Rise is a coeducational school which delivers the teaching of Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies. We place a strong emphasis on creativity and innovation, and proudly believe these are integral in the successful learning and development of our children.
Read and Rise offers services for a spectrum of students, aged 4- 16, as well as our designated adult classes. We aim to create students that will stand as tomorrow's young academics, and ensure each child flourishes in their education at our school. Progression of students is monitored continuously and assessments act as indicators of their performance and outcome. To ensure each child achieves the maximum potential, a keen emphasis is placed on personalised teaching as well as proactive mentoring. In particular, Islamic and Arabic  Studies are taught with hands- on activities that will reinforce a child's learning with greater consolidation compared to the usual method of teaching. Greater support is also given through proactive mentoring on a termly basis. We also encourage students’ thoughts and views to be expressed in class, particularly in lesson time, so as to give them a platform to out speak their understanding of the lessons taught, hence creating a firm foundation in their knowledge.
In order to create individuals whom possess deep knowledge of the holy Quran and most importantly its understanding and application to our lives, we have a deep belief in the participation of extra- curricular activities that enhance an individual's learning beyond the classroom setting. Read and Rise therefore organise various trips to enable the children, and their parents, to extensively explore what the world has to offer, relative to our Islamic and Arabic curriculum especially.
Most arguably, the palpable sense of community and friendly, vibrant atmosphere of the school is perhaps what captures the students and parents at the first glance. Read and Rise has amiable staff that strongly believe in the central tenet of working entirely for the children, and supplying the students with a knowledgable, extensive and purposeful foundation that will prepare them as life- long learners, ready for what the future holds for them.
Read and Rise is a special school which provides pastoral care to all our students. Each individual in our school will be encouraged to nurture their talents and apply them to the Islamic and Arabic lessons they participate in. We also encourage new talents to be found along the way, and the implementation of extra- curricular activites and trips will ensure our children will blossom with great knowledge that will aid each purposeful life.
